Abstract

As regular committee members and evaluators at the entrance examina-
tions, we are very interested in the quality of movement and achievement of
applicants for teacher training. Based upon our experiences, previous inves-
tigations, and on theories of motor control and learning, we examined the
performance of calisthenics of applicants to College of Károly Eszterházy in
the year of 2002 and 2003. Our main purpose with this study was the move-
ment quality and reproduction, which was carried out on 532 applicants.
Based on our findings, it is clear that the movement quality and stability of
the applicants seemed to be poor in calisthenics.
