THE INFLUENCE OF THE MODIFICATED RULES ON THE EFFICIENCY OF VOLLEY-BALL

Abstract

The system of rules in the game of volley-ball has been modificated es-
sentially recently. The new rules are beneficial to the continuity, develop-
ment of the game and satisfy the requirements of medium. But in conse-
quence of the frequent and sharp watching the games could become untrace-
able. It is necessary to insure adequate time for the teams and the referees to
adaptation.
I did my studies among adult teams in the forefront. There were 115
games during 19 women’s and 14 men’s matches in which 5056 openings
were processed.
The fields of survey:
– touching rules,
– openings,
– the work of the „libero” player.
On the examination I came to be below conclusion:
– Some of the new rules have significant influence on the efficiency of
the game while there are some that really make the referee’s activity
easier.
– Making efforts to strengthening defence and the continuity of the
game seem to be unambiguous.
– It is surprising that crack-players don’t use the tactical possibilities
resident in the modificated rules.
For reasons of length I am going to recital the results in connection with
the openings.
