PROPOSALS FOR BETTER APPLYING TEACHING STRATEGIES AND METHODS IN SWIMMING EDUCATION

Abstract

After reviewing the scientific studies available in pedagogy, several strategies
are found to be applied in the motor teaching-learning process and many differ-
ent aspects of the topic are discussed. In basic swimming teaching it is still hard
to determine the strategies, as the process is very complex and the movements
and their teaching are unique. The purpose of the study is to define such teach-
ing-learning strategies and closely related methods that can be successfully ap-
plied on the special field of motor teaching, particularly in swimming education.
Goal of this research was to offer teaching – learning strategies and related
methods, to make better and effective the primary school swimming education.
