Abstract

We think that the choice of number and order of teaching swimming strokes
has now matured to a single point of view, which the experts agree on swimming
lessons, but this is not the case. How are elected by the swimming instructor the
first taught stroke? To what extent is influenced by the age of swimming strokes
election? These and similar questions were looking for answers to our study. We
believe that the age is the most influential factor in the election of the strokes.
For this reason the backstroke and the freestyle should be taught first. The
research method for evaluating the results of the survey questionnaire and the
statistical program SPSS 17.0 for Windows was used. The sample of swimming
instructors (n=60) 45% women and 55% are men. Mean age of 36.08 years (SD:
11.79), the fewest number of years in a swimming teacher, most of 44 years
(mean 12.48, SD 10.39). The sample of kindergarten children (n=20). The
results showed that the swimming professionals in the most time more strokes
were taught together, usually start in the backstroke and freestyle. The
investigation also revealed that mobility structure the most influential factor in
elections, but this can partly justify the assumption that the child age is
particularly important in the choice of the first stroke. Our results showed that
the younger the students, the more simple structured stroke were elected by
teachers, the older the students, the focus will be the breaststroke.
