RESEARCH ON THE SUBJECT OF CHOOS- ING THE HANDBALL SPORT

Abstract

During the research, the sports and the reasons for the choice of the sport,
and the selection method tests examine the handball sport different section of
the questionnaire method. The sample included adult basketball players who play
different classes. All classes in the same proportion. The sample (N = 55 persons)
80% female, 20% male, mean age 22.4 years minimum 14 up to 45. The average
age o f the subjects sports 11.56 years, a minimum o f two to a maximum of 34
years. Our results showed that among the reasons for the sport to start with the
highest value, the useful value o f leisure time was second in the influence of
friends, and to follow a healthy lifestyle. The sports among the motives handball
selection has also received outstanding rather than the influence o f friends, that is.
The second reason is that the coach noticed the player, that is, that there is a sense
of handball. The majority o f the athletes did not participate in the selection tests.
