Abstract

A significant task of public educational institutions is to support the development and consolidation of a healthy lifestyle and positive system of habits (Járomi & Vitrai 2017). The aim of my research is to present the characteristics of health education, focusing on leisure physical activity and the changes caused by Covid-19. I conducted interviews with secondary school teachers, students and school nurses (n = 30), supplemented by an analysis of pedagogical and professional programs with regard to recommendations for leisure physical activity. The pandemic also brought about a change in the content and methodology of school health promotion. The exploration of good practices related to health education, as well as adapting to the changes caused by the epidemic situation, is a necessary area for further research.
