„Chaplain of the division”. The role of military service in the career of
Károly Subik, Canon of Eger between 1914–1925. Canon Károly Subik was one of
the most respected figures in the Archdiocese of Eger between the two world wars. This
study uses archival sources and press reports to examine how the military chaplaincy
ministry of Canon Károly Subik of Eger was perceived by the local public and how it
contributed to the fulfillment of his ecclesiastical career.
