Abstract

The technological tools used in the field of sports science objectively provide an opportunity to develop integrated performance profiles. With the use of GPS and LPS tracking systems, the spectrum of sports performance feedback has broadened among modern ball players. The definition of the workload - for sports with almost the same movement characteristics (handball, basketball, and football) - can also be calculated from the set of external load variables measured on the sports field and thus can be optimized. Systematic monitoring of the development of youth athletes is a priority in order to be successful in the sport at a later stage. The aim of this study is to review the most important researches about external load variables with GPS and LPS systems to investigate ball players.
