EXAMINATION OF THE COMPETITORS EATING HABITS

Abstract

All walks of life standing in the competition, everyone seeks to win. The
competitors get stuck in all possible ways to be more effective, and this plays a
major role in the training alongside the lifestyle, diet.
We believe that poor nutrition adversely affects the development of young
people, and does not contribute to the achievement of sports results can be
expected. Turned our attentions of Swimmers nutritional habits in general and
the pre-tournament period.
Competitive swimmers (n = 50) (72% girls, 28% of boys) (mean age 12.2
years, min. 8 years old, max. 26 years, 3.7 years of racing experience) were
questionnaire. They all swim in Eger. Data evaluation of the statistical program
SPSS 16.0 for Windows was used.
The results showed that the swimmers in Eger have ordinary eating habits,
insufficient attention is paid to the development of competitions before meals,
despite the need to realize this. The meals in the development of parents do not
get outside professional help.
