Abstract

The introduction of day-to-day physical education was an important step for legislators. Discovering and evaluating the experiences and achievements of the years since its introduction is important for continuous renewal, professional development, adaptation to the changing needs of the Z and alpha generations, so that the content of high quality physical education is motivating for the child, a lifelong sport essential to a lifestyle. In the literature review, we analyze studies that have addressed the potential for renewal from the initial problems encountered in the introduction of day-to-day physical education, and the experience of solutions has been shared in the profession. Its initial reception, raising the number of physical education classes from 2-3 to 5 per week, showed a mixed picture when asked about school subjects, but in the vast majority it can be concluded that by now its perception is more positive, the objectives and the importance . Many institutions are still struggling with infrastructure, but where management and PE teachers are committed to lifelong sporting activities, it is no question for them to find ways to accomplish it despite the difficulties. In the vast majority of these cases, schools use the 3 + 2 model, which offers a variety of programs in the afternoon’s time zone, in addition to the three „traditional” physical education classes in the afternoon, to encourage a variety of sports. In analyzing the studies, the initiatives were mostly successful with students and parents. However, a full review was not possible during the processing, as the results of many good practices have not yet been examined and published.
