Review Policy
With the exception of book reviews, manuscripts submitted to the Eger Journal of English Studies are double-blind peer reviewed, i.e. the identities of the two reviewers and the author(s) are not revealed throughout the assessment process.
To facilitate this, the editors create a blinded version of the submission and anonymise its document properties. This blinded manuscript is used consistently throughout the review process.
To assist the double-blind peer review process, authors are kindly requested to
- remove acknowledgements, if any, from their manuscript,
- limit self-references to the essential minimum and refer to their own earlier publications without identifying themselves as the author of the present manuscript,
- and remove references to funding sources.
All such additions can be reinserted by the author(s) during the editing process.
